Unboxing And Review: The Secretlab X Genshin Impact Collaboration Chair is A Dream Come True

I have been searching for a gaming chair that fits into my work and gaming style for years, and I am happy to say that I finally found one that ticks all the boxes I’ve been searching for. I have tried cheaper gaming chairs, ergonomic office chairs, and stylish chairs that look cool, but are lacking in comfort. I have been so happy with the time I’ve spent with the Secretlab TITAN Evo so far, and based on the last few weeks, I will be sitting in this chair for a very long time.

The Secretlab Genshin Impact Liyue Collection is a Genshin Impact fan's dream, and the first time the two have collaborated. The collection features designs inspired by Xiao, Ningguang, and the wonders of Liyue that draws players from all across Teyvat. I was able to test out the Xiao edition, which just so happens to feature my favorite shade of green! Not only does this collection’s stylish embroidery celebrate characters from the series, but it pairs perfectly with Secretlab's proprietary ergonomic features. From its medium-firm Cold-Cure Foam to its wide proprietary sculpted pebble seat, there is so much to love in this collection.

In the last couple of years, I have bought three chairs searching for the perfect fit, and unpacking them and putting them together can sometimes be a sign of what’s to come. Putting together furniture shouldn’t cause you to pull your hair out in frustration, but I’ve had that happen a time or two. Thankfully, Secretlab packages their chairs with both extreme care and thoughtfulness.

All items are placed in tagged boxes or bags, and all tools you’ll need are right in the box. The way Secretlab positions everything in the box makes perfect sense, and you can tell they put a lot of care into how they laid it all out. For this chair, instructions came on a large, thick poster board with a gorgeous image on the opposite side featuring the characters who inspired the chair’s design sitting on the actual chairs. Besides being gorgeous, I thought this was a nice touch because it not only showcases the chairs but the beautiful art style Genshin Impact fans know and love.

I’ve had some chairs give me a real headache in the past when it came time to put them together, but I’m happy to say that Secretlab makes everything very clear. Besides the clear and well-written instructions on the aforementioned poster board, there was also an option for a video guide to help with assembly. I opted to just follow the written instructions, and had virtually no issues.

I think my favorite part about putting together the Secretlab X Genshin Impact Chair was realizing Secretlab uses magnets. The armrests do not require any sort of tools to put the padded top on. Instead, it connects with magnets and honestly reminds me of the way the Joy-Cons on the Nintendo Switch 2 connect. Besides that, everything else was snappy and easy to put together, though I did need assistance when it came to putting the fully-assembled seat part on the wheeled bottom.

If you’ve never sat on a Secretlab chair, you’re missing out. In my quest for the perfect gaming chair, I had several boxes I wanted to tick, but the most important for me was the ability to sit cross-legged. Past chairs I’ve had didn’t quite let me sit comfortably, but this one does. Thanks to the proprietary sculpted pebble seat base, I can easily sit just how I like to. Secretlab’s seats are also deliberately formulated to be medium-firm for the perfect balance between comfort and support. I honestly find myself sitting up taller because of how the chair is crafted.

The chair also features 4-Way L-Adapt lumbar support that moves up, down, in, and out to tuck neatly into the natural 20-45° curvature of your lower back. This has helped me finesse the chair ever more for my own personal comfort. So whether I am writing social media posts, editing a video, or playing Overwatch 2, I am seated comfortably.

My other favorite part that makes the seat even more comfortable is the magnetic memory-foam head pillow. It snaps on and is incredibly comfortable and easily adjustable based on how I am seated.

The arms of the chair, like the lumbar support, also allow for a variety of movements so you can move them exactly how you need to. Armrests can be raised up and down or angled in a variety of positions for maximum comfort.

As with most chairs, you can also adjust the height and tilt of the chair too. One feature I was pleasantly surprised by but wasn’t necessarily expecting was how easily the chair glides. It moves quietly on my hardwood floor and I swear I could be a rogue in this chair and sneak up on someone and no one would hear me rolling toward them.

After spending a few weeks with the Secretlab X Genshin Impact chair, I can confidently say that it’s more than just a visually stunning piece of merch; it is the best gaming chair I’ve ever owned, and I’ve had so many. What sets this chair apart isn’t just the gorgeous embroidery and green color, though those are a huge bonus for fans of Genshin Impact.

The chair’s fusion of premium ergonomics with thoughtful design touches make daily use a pleasure. Whether I’m working for hours at my desk or diving into an intense gaming session, this chair supports me in ways cheaper or trendier alternatives simply never could. It is well worth the investment.

The build quality speaks for itself, from the Cold-Cure Foam and sculpted seat base to the finely tuned 4-way lumbar support. It has encouraged better posture and has helped reduce the uncomfortableness I’ve experienced in other chairs. The magnetic attachments, especially the armrests and head pillow, are an innovative and satisfying feature that eliminates the hassle of screws or awkward adjustments, plus they make putting the chair together kind of fun.

If you're a Genshin Impact fan, the collaboration is a dream come true. But even if you're not, the Secretlab TITAN Evo’s build quality, ergonomics, and ease of assembly make it a worthwhile investment for anyone who spends a lot of time at their desk. Even as someone who's only dabbled in Genshin Impact, I’ve been excited to show this chair off—its stunning design stands on its own as a statement piece.
